Makhachkala, February 27, 2014. The head of the "Azamat" farm Magomed Alibulatov has been awarded the Terentiy Maltsev medal "For contribution to agricultural development in Russia, the press service of Daghestani farmer association reports.
The source noted that the medal was presented President of the Russian Farmer Association, a member of the Russian Federation Council Vladimir Plotnikov at the 25th Russian Farmer Congress in Moscow earlier in the week.
Daghestani delegation here was headed by the Assosiation’s President Magomed Abdurakhmanov.
According to the source, the significant farmer event brought together over 700 delegates from 70 regions, Minister of Agriculture Nikolai Fiodorov, Russian Cabinet officials, Federation Council authorities, State Duma deputies, and heads of regional governments. Delegations of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, representatives of farmer unions of Germany, USA, Kazakhstan, and Finland came to see the Congress, too.
