Daghestan’s tourist and recreational potential presented at briefing in Stavropol region

Makhachkala, May 8, 2014. The deputy chairman of Daghestan Tourism Committee Abdul Yarakhmedov presented Daghestan’s tourist and recreational potential at the first regional briefing taking place April 24-25 in Kislovodsk, Stavropol region, a source in the ministry told RIA "Daghestan".

At the briefing organized in collaboration with the Stavropol Ministry of Economic Development and the North Caucasus Chamber of Commerce, participants discussed the long-term prospects for developing hotel business and tourism in South Russia.

The forum was opened by the briefing’s co-organizer - CEO of ‘Bench Events’ Jonathan Worsley. He recalled that the conference on hotel investment in Russia and other CIS countries (which includes the briefing held in Kislovodsk) has gathered in one place investors, hoteliers, financiers, developers, lawyers, architects and senior government officials. During the briefing, leading experts in various areas shared their knowledge and experience, and helped better understand investment realities and practical work in Russia.

Stavropol minister of economic development Julia Kosareva explained the meaning of the contract that the regional government had signed with the investor at the forum, "We are committed to helping in case of administrative barriers or any other impediments to implementing this project."

The deputy chairman of Daghestan Tourism Committee Abdul Yarakhmedov presented a colourful promotional material and presentation film about Daghestan’s tourist and recreational potential. There also were numerous meetings to outline prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation.
