Daghestan entered into Russian regional development ministry’s pilot project for introducing "Safe City" program complex

Makhachkala, September 10, 2014.  Along with other 17 Russian regions, Daghestan has been entered into a pilot project of Russian regional development ministry’s pilot project for introducing the "Safe City" program complex, director of the "Safe Daghestan" state-owned company Vagif Diyarkhanov told RIA "Dagestan".

The issue was discussed in the Russian ministry of regional development. The regions, having successfully implemented this system, will be financed from the federal budget following the results of the pilot projects. The funds will help modernize the hardware and software complex and introduce it in rural areas and regional centers.

The modern concept of hardware and software complex development named "Safe City" implies an expanded use of information and telecommunication technologies, the GLONASS system, etc.
