Daghestan and China sign an agreement on trade, economic, scientific - technical and cultural cooperation

Makhachkala, April 10, 2014. An agreement between the Republic of Daghestan and the Guangdong province of the People's Republic of China on trade-economic, scientific- technical and cultural cooperation will be signed, the deputy minister of trade, investment and entrepreneurship Gerey Aliyev reports.

"It will be focused on the development of relationships in the field of trade, economic, scientific, technical cooperation and cultural exchanges. Moreover, the agreement will provide a new level of relations between the Republic of Daghestan and Guangdong Province of the People's Republic of China" - Aliyev noted.

The decision was announced within a meeting of the working group on the interregional and cross-border cooperation of Joint Russian- Chinese Commission on Regular Meetings of Government Heads, which took place in Moscow on April 8.

The meeting held at the ministry of regional development was chaired by the State Secretary – the deputy minister of regional development of Russia Svetlana Ivanova, was attended by representatives of federal executive bodies, executive bodies of subjects of the Russian Federation and representatives of the Russian business community. Daghestan was represented by the deputy minister for trade, investment and enterprise Gerey Aliyev.

"The meeting discussed the state and prospects of Russian-Chinese inter-regional and cross-border cooperation, global cooperation between the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China provinces and the regional trade- economic and investment cooperation. Besides, both parties debated on preparations for the 12th session of the permanent working group on inter-regional and cross-border cooperation, which will be held in Vladivostok on April 17 "- Gerey Aliyev concluded.
