Kazan, April 22, 2017. On April 22, the Kazan Kremlin hosted a meeting of the Head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov with the State Adviser of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Republican Foundation "Revival" Mintimer Shaimiev, the press service of the republican government reports.

Ramazan Abdulatipov arrived in Kazan on April 21 to attend the Third Congress of the Peoples of Tatarstan which has opened today in the Korston State TV and Radio Company.

"Mintimer Shaimiev told Ramazan Abdulatipov about the results of the seven-year activity of the Renaissance Foundation and about the new projects - the construction of the Bulgarian Islamic Academy and the re-creation of the Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. The head of Dagestan displayed interest in Tatarstan's experience in the field of preservation of cultural heritage. Abdulatipov noted that Dagestan leadership provided a consistent focus on the issues of protection of historical and cultural monuments in the region at the operational level. The head of the region also spoke about the current socio-economic development of the republic" - the press service official said.

During the meeting, the two top officials exchanged views on the forthcoming forum. Ramazan Abdulatipov shared his memories of participating in the II Congress of the Peoples of Tatarstan (in 2007) being the chairman of Council of the Assembly of Peoples of Russia.
