Makhachkala, October 13, 2015. On October 29 – 31, Dagestan will host the third International Forum of Architecture of the Northern Caucasus and Southern Russia, the Head of the Architecture, Urban Planning and Territorial Development Department of the Ministry of Construction RD Uwais Kamalov says.

According to Kamalov, the main purpose of the Forum is to develop natural and urban spaces based on centuries-old traditions of the peoples of the North Caucasus and to use modern trends in world architecture.

"Architects from the number of regions of Southern Russia - Rostov, Astrakhan region, the Republic of Kalmykia, as well as from the subjects of the North Caucasian Federal District are expected to participate in the Forum" – the source noted.

Uwais Kamalov also added that the Forum envisages holding competitions in 10 nominations. Among them - the nominations for the best design, interior design of housing, etc.

The Forum participants are expected to discuss topical problems of the industry: the current environmental, urban, architectural, economic and social development of the territories; the involvement of state bodies, municipal and public organizations to the solvation of problems of sustainable development of territories; the development of tourism cluster and the creation of its infrastructure; facilitating the introduction of new innovative technologies in the development of territories.
