St. Petersburg, November 21, 2014. Dagestan Microfinance Fund is taking part in the 13th National conference on microfinance and financial inclusion titled "Market establishment and evolution in mega-regulation. Challenges and opportunities for CCCs and MFIs" taking place November 19-21 in St. Petersburg.

In an interview with RIA "Dagestan", Head of Dagestan Microfinance fund for supporting small and medium-sized businesses Gadjimurad Gadjiyev said that the conference is a major public event of the year in the area of microfinance, a good place to discuss the most pressing issues of microfinance development.

"Participants are expected to consider the results of transformations in the Bank of Russia’s structure, the changes in regulating and supervising the microfinance market, specifics of how microfinance institutions (MFIs) and consumer credit co-operatives (CCCs) work in the context of creating a mega-regulator, and increasing effectiveness of measures to ensure MFIs and CCCs’ sustainability. Also, they’ll discuss further improvement of microfinance legislation," Gadjiyev elaborated.

They’ll focus on developing responsible lending, international experience and Russian practices. The event is expected to gather together over 500 officials from Russia and some foreign countries - representatives of microfinance institutions and credit cooperatives, banks, federal and regional authorities, and international development institutions.
