Makhachkala, December 11, 2017. In the first half of 2018, Dagestan intend to double the export of mutton to Iran. According to the republican Ministry of Agriculture and Food, since 2018 the republic plans to increase the supply of livestock products to the neighboring state.

It is planned to double the supply of mutton to Iran - up to 1.6 thousand carcasses per day. Dagestan company Kizlyar Uritsky Meat Processing Plant is exporting meat to Iran. Nowadays, it is exported approx. 800 carcasses per day. Mostly, the products sent for export meet all the standards established by the Muslim religion.
