Makhachkala, January 21, 2018. Compared to same period of 2016, the total fish landings of the fish-producing enterprises increased by 500 tons. According to the press service of the Western Caspian Territorial Administration of the Federal Agency for Fisheries, the republic's fishing enterprises caught 6.9 thousand tons of fish last year, which is 500 tons more than in 2016.

The biggest figures were reached in landing sprats - more than 1000 tons and mullet - 700 tons. The permission to land fishes in Dagestan were granted to 72 fishing enterprises that are engaged in the production of 30 fish species. Dagestan fish is sold both on the domestic market and is supplied to Moscow, Stavropol and Astrakhan.
