Dagestan delegation to represent republic at Congress of Association of Farms and Agricultural Cooperatives of Russia

Makhachkala, February 8, 2016. The delegation from Dagestan will represent the republic at the Congress of Association of Farms and Agricultural Cooperatives of Russia (CAFAC), the regional office of the organization informs.

The XXVII Congress of Association of Farms and Agricultural Cooperatives of Russia will be held on February 11-12 2016 in Moscow. Over 800 delegates from 70 regions of Russia applied for participation in the event.

The Congress is expected to focus on the most pressing issues; the growth of production, the profitability in agriculture, the real import substitution, the sustainable rural development and the effective use of resources of state support in rural areas.

By tradition, on the eve of the plenary session on February 11 a workshop to discuss current issues in the mode of constructive dialogue between the farmers and the representatives of the government officials will be held.

The Russian Peasant Farming and Agricultural Co-operatives Association was established in January 1990. Protection of rights and interests of Russian peasants and farmers is considered its main goal. At present, the association unites 68 regional peasant unions and associations, which in their turn unite more than 600 farmers’ organizations and about 1500 co-operative companies and enterprises.
