Dagestan business borrowed more than 11 billion rubles in 2022

In 2022, banks allocated more than 11.4 billion rubles in loans to enterprises in Dagestan, which is 18.2% more than in 2021. The largest share (more than 76%) of corporate loans was granted to small and medium enterprises. The volume of loans in this segment increased by 1.5 times and amounted to almost 8.8 billion rubles.

"Reduction of the key rate by the Bank of Russia since April last year, as well as the action of state concessional lending programs increased the availability of credit resources for businesses", - the deputy manager of the regional branch of National Bank Svetlana Batsyna comments.

As to Batsyna, in future the "road map" for support of small and medium business in 2023-2024 adopted by the Bank of Russia will also help to increase the volume of borrowed funds. It is noted that this document was developed taking into account the proposals of the business community. Bank of Russia is ready to discuss new initiatives.

In terms of industries, the growth in lending was observed in agriculture - during the year the volume of lending to agricultural enterprises has grown by 8 times and amounted to almost 1 billion rubles. Manufacturing industries borrowed twice as much (1.6 billion rubles), construction companies raised 1.4 times (1.8 billion rubles), trade companies almost 7% (almost 2.8 billion rubles).

On January 1, 2023 the loan portfolio of companies and entrepreneurs of the Republic of Dagestan amounted to 29.7 billion rubles, 3% more than a year earlier.
