In terms of milk production Dagestan has become a leader across the North Caucasian Federal District. In total, the regions of the Northern Caucasus produced 1.3 million tons of milk for six months of 2022. The figure increased by 3%. compared with the same period of 2021.

Dagestan is the leader in milk production with 434 thousand tons. It is followed by Stavropol - 260 thousand tons, and Kabardino-Balkaria - 241 thousand tons. Noteworthy the NCFD regions increased the production of meat by 1% (442 thousand tons in total), and decreased the production of eggs by 4% (756 million pieces in total).
