In the first quarter of 2021, the North Caucasian Federal District (7 regions) produced 516 thousand tons of milk as a whole. Dagestan’s share makes 155 thousand tons. Noteworthy, Dagestan farmers managed to produce 204 thousand tons of meat that is 5% less compared to the last year indices. The meat production declined in a number of regions of the federal district: Stavropol Territory, North Ossetia and Kabardino-Balkaria. The figures have been provided by the republican Ministry for Agriculture and Food.
