Makhachkala, March 9, 2019. The branch of the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Growing is scheduled to be opened in Derbent district in the south of Dagestan. As to the chairman of the Government of the Republic Artem Zdunov, who acted with the annual report at the People’s Assembly of the Republic of Dagestan, the Center will focus on seed production. According to Zdunov, the agricultural producers massively import seed, the quality of which does not quite correspond to the proper level. The branch will ensure food security and will become another segment in the agricultural sector of the economy of republic.
