Makhachkala, November 8, 2019. The beef cattle production has increased in the republic. According to the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture and Food, since the beginning of 2019, the meat in live weight in the amount of 107 thousand tons has been produced in Dagestan.

“Across the country, the growth made 1.3%. The total volume of production exceeded 1.7 million tons. According to preliminary data given by the country's constituent entities, the quantity of beef and cross-country livestock amounted to 3.9 million heads, which is 110.8 thousand more than in the last year. In Dagestan, the number of cattle has grown to 980 thousand 887 heads” - the source added. Experts note that the increase in the production of high-quality beef in the medium term is possible, including due to the intensive development of this industry and the provision of state support.
