Makhachkala, April 5, 2018. Today April, 5, the prime minister of Dagestan Artem Zdunov visited Makhachkala Sea Commercial Port. The company director general Murad Khidirov informed the prime minister about the main directions of MSCP's activities, as well as the problems the port authorities face.

Artem Zdunov got familiarized with the work of the oil and gas terminal, the grain terminal and dry cargo harbor, where the turnover of cement, ceramic tiles and lumber was resumed.  

"Nowadays, we are preparing for the regular sitting of the State Council for Development of Logistics and Port Infrastructure of the Caspian basin. This is an important event, where, among other concerns, the issues of modernization and reconstruction of Makhachkala port will be considered. We should clearly calculate everything in strict accordance to the financial and economic model. We need to calculate the logistics for making proposals on the construction of the new bypass road. All these issues are important" - the Prime Minister is quoted saying.

Recall the oil transshipment in MSCP in the current year increased by 218%, amounting to 500 thousand tons. The volume of grain transshipment also increased: in January-March, about 137,000 tons of cereals were shipped to the Islamic Republic of Iran, which is almost in 5 times more than in 2017.
