About 300 experts from all over world participate in international forum on development of North Caucasian region

Makhachkala, May 19, 2018. The International Forum "The Northern Caucasus: Spatial Development and Human Capital" organized by the North Caucasian Institute-Branch of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Service with support of Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of President of the Russian Federation in the Northern Caucasus and the Ministry of Russia for Affairs of the Northern Caucasus has taken place May 17 – 19 in Pyatigorsk.

This is an interactive platform that brings together the leading Russian scientists and their foreign colleagues, the representatives of government bodies, business community and civil society institutions. About three hundred experts from Germany, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and other countries took part in the Forum.

The deputy head of the Agency for Entrepreneurship and Investment RD Magomed Musayev noted the extensive and serious work done by the Forum participants. As to Musayev, the issues related to the city planning, the development of rural areas of the Northern Caucasus and the human capital were treated as the priority ones. "The participants also spoke about the personnel needed for the new economy and the necessity to find new organizational solutions and competencies in the state and municipal service" Musayev pointed out.

Based on results of the Forum, it was decided to prepare proposals for practical use to the authorities of regions of Russia’s North Caucasian Federal District and inclusion them into the Strategy of spatial development of the Russian Federation till 2030.
