160 high-tech surgeries made in Daghestan Cardiology Center in 2014

Makhachkala, September 16 /RIA "Dagestan"/ Around 160 high-tech surgeries have been made in the Daghestan Center of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery this year, head of the Daghestan healthcare ministry’s press service Zarina Agmadova reported RIA "Dagestan".

After being reconstructed and re-equipped, the center can provide more and better high-tech medical care. E.g., in 2013, 45 high-tech surgeries were made, and in 2014 the number is 159. Of these, 101 are of coronary stenting, 45 are of implanting a unicameral frequency-adapted pacemaker, and 13 are high-tech medical care surgeries funded from the federal budget. In Daghestan, they are developing endoscopic, reconstructive, plastic, and cardiac surgery. They are increasing the number of video endosurgeries, introducing methods video endohemostasis while esophageal and gastroduodenal bleeding, and applying coronary artery stenting.

In 2012-2013, 5 hospitals obtained a license for providing high-tech medical care - the Republican Clinical Hospital, the Children's Republican Clinical Hospital, the Daghestan Center of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery, the Daghestan Center of Thoracic Surgery, and the №1 Makhachkala’s City Hospital. In 2013, the Daghestan hospitals saw 737 high-tech surgeries; 7,014 people including 2,500 children got high-tech medical care in the federal health care facilities, which is 21.3% more than that of 2012.
