Dagestani powerlifters claim four medals at Open Classical Championship in Stavropol Krai

MAKHACHKALA, May 18 – RIA "Dagestan". Dagestani athletes won four medals at the Open Classical Powerlifting Championship and Junior Competition held in stanitsa Kurskaya, Stavropol Krai.

Shamil Guseynov (93 kg) claimed gold in the youth category, while Shamil Abdurakhmanov (93 kg) took first place among juniors. Silver medals have been awarded to Magomed Majidov (83 kg) in the youth division and Abdurakhman Dzhabrailov (93 kg) in the junior division.

All four athletes have now qualified for the North Caucasus Federal District Championship, scheduled to take place in November 2026 in Kislovodsk.
