MOSCOW, March 13 – RIA Dagestan. German Kerimkhanov, an 11th-grade student at Salik School in Derbent District, won second place at the All-Russian Olympiad on Electoral Law "Sophium" with the finals held at the Central Election Commission of Russia in Moscow. Out of more than 17,000 participants nationwide, only 121 students advanced to the final round. Kerimkhanov scored 14.2 out of 15 possible points—just 0.3 points behind the first-place winner.
Central Election Commission Chair Ella Pamfilova personally presented the award, recognizing the young Dagestani student's outstanding performance. Reflecting on his experience, Kerimkhanov noted that this was his second consecutive year participating in the Olympiad and emphasized that the competition demanded not only theoretical knowledge but also practical application skills. He expressed his commitment to continuing his studies in electoral law and participating actively in elections as a matter of civic responsibility.
In recognition of his achievement, German Kerimkhanov will be included in the State Registry of Gifted Children.
