MAKHACHKALA, August 21 – RIA Dagestan. Amirkhan Magomdadaev, Chairman of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Dagestan, held a working meeting with Ramazan Dzhafarov, Acting First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Dagestan.
The parties discussed the importance of strengthening cooperation between civil society and law enforcement agencies. They identified priority areas such as the prevention of extremism and terrorism, improving legal literacy among youth and strengthening interethnic and interfaith harmony.
The parties also discussed issues related to the legal status of lands used for transhumance livestock grazing. The region's Public Chamber once again raised the issue of formalizing title documents for land plots and residential homes for citizens actually living on these lands, as well as the need to provide residents of such settlements with full access to social infrastructure, including educational and healthcare facilities, quality roads and water supply systems.
During the discussion on the agro-industrial complex, the parties addressed tasks to improve the efficiency of agricultural land use, develop irrigation systems, preserve pastures, and modernize livestock farms. They also reviewed issues related to updating the fleet of agricultural machinery, expanding product processing and storage, and bringing Dagestani goods to new markets.
The issue of personnel shortages in agriculture was highlighted as a separate topic. Dzhafarov and Magomdadaev discussed measures to attract and retain young specialists in rural areas, including enhancing the prestige of agricultural professions and providing workers with housing and decent working conditions.
Following the meeting, the Public Chamber of Dagestan confirmed its readiness to serve as an expert and dialogue platform for developing specific legislative and administrative decisions in collaboration with the republican Government and security agencies.
