MAKHACHKALA, July 17 – RIA "Dagestan". As to Acting Minister for National Policy and Religious Affairs Temirlan Abutalimov, Dagestan gets prepared to host a big international interfaith youth forum in October 2026.
The event is expected to draw participants from at least ten constituent entities of the Russian Federation, including representatives from the new regions.
Abutalimov made clear that the event centered on young people, with faith representatives from three religions contributing their personal experiences and offering mentorship to the younger generation.
Bisides, September and October will host multiple significant events: an Interregional Conference of Executive Authorities responsible for state national policy (September 7–9), alongside the forums "The Wisdom of Generations in the Unity of Russia" and "The Future of Russia is in the Hands of Mothers".
On October 20 - 24, the republic will also serve as the platform for the International Forum of Compatriots Living Abroad and the respected interethnic harmony forum "Russian Caucasus".
Furthermore, a new grant program developed by the Center for Civic Initiatives under the Ministry has been introduced to support non-profit and youth organizations; it specifically funds creative, modern projects aimed at preventing radical ideologies, with priority given to initiatives that strengthen interethnic and interfaith harmony and promote societal rejection of religious radicalism, extremism and xenophobia.
