MAKHACHKALA, June 5 – RIA Dagestan. As part of SPIEF's business agenda, Hero of Russia Temirlan Abutalimov, Acting Minister for National Policy and Religious Affairs of Dagestan, engaged in several meetings intended to promote dialogue between regions.
One of the significant results achieved was a Cooperation Agreement signed with Oleg Kapitanov, Chairman of St. Petersburg's Committee for Interethnic Relations and Implementation of Migration Policy. The ceremony was witnessed by Zaur Askenderov, Speaker of Dagestan Parliament and Magomed Ramazanov, the republican Prime Minister.
The parties agreed on joint work within the framework of implementing the Strategy of the State National Policy of Russia until 2036. The agreement provides for establishing systematic cooperation on issues of strengthening interethnic harmony and preserving cultural heritage.
"Today, about 90,000 natives of Dagestan live in St. Petersburg. The agreement signed will make it possible to establish systematic cooperation on strengthening interethnic harmony, preserving cultural traditions and supporting the compatriot community. A working meeting also took place with the Vice-Governor of Leningrad Region, where around 50,000 Dagestanis reside. The parties discussed prospects for developing cooperation between the regions and agreed on further interaction in relevant areas" Abutalimov noted.
