MAKHACHKALA, July 27 – RIA "Dagestan". The V International Biennale of Printed Graphics "Kubachi Tower" has opened its pavilions across four venues in Makhachkala, featuring 830 graphic works by 573 professional artists and students from 14 countries and 92 Russian settlements, including over 30 Dagestani authors.
Supported by a grant from the Head of Dagestan and organized by the creative association "DaGraf" and the Center for Cultural Initiatives "Zirikhgeran", the biennale includes a plein air in Kubachi, four exhibitions, master classes and lectures over two weeks.
The jury, comprising renowned specialists from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ufa, Nizhny Tagil and Makhachkala, announced competition results on July 25, with exhibitions running until the end of summer; additionally, an autumn exhibition by 2024 Grand Prix winner Mikhail Verkholantsev will open at Gamzatov Dagestan Museum of Fine Arts.
