MAKHACHKALA, July 28 – RIA "Dagestan". From July 1 through July 15, 2026, Dagestan office of Rosselkhoznadzor (Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance) supervised the export of over 42,000 tons of grain via the Makhachkala Sea Commercial Port.
The shipments to Iran included 16,349 tons of corn, 23,294 tons of feed barley, and 2,993 tons of food wheat. North Ossetia-Alania supplied 19,884 tons, Stavropol Krai 19,759 tons and Ingushetia 2,993 tons.
Document and cargo inspections found no breaches of legislation or the importing country's phytosanitary standards and the grain was disinfected in line with Iranian requirements. Dagestan branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "VNIIKR" issued 16 phytosanitary certificates based on its laboratory findings. Since the start of the year, total grain and grain product exports have reached 380,000 tons.
