Dagestan authorities allocate RUB 60 million for development of tourist locations

The Ministry of Tourism and Folk Arts of the Republic of Dagestan has announced the recipients of subsidies aimed at bolstering tourism infrastructure facilities across nine districts. Approximately RUB 60 million will be allocated from the republican budget to fund a variety of projects, including:

* Gunibsky District: Construction of a hiking trail along a fortress wall.
* Untsukulsky District: Improvements to parking and access roads leading to the village of Irganai.
* Makhachkala: Establishment of a tourist information center equipped with a minibus parking area.
* Khunzakhsky District: Enhancement of existing tourism facilities.
* Tabasaransky District: Renovation of a local history museum.
* Suleiman-Stalsky District: Construction of an observation deck in the village of Orta-Stal.
* Derbentsky District: Improvement works at the Khazar municipal beach.
* Akhtynsky District: Paving streets with natural stone in the old part of the village of Akhty.
* Agulsky District: Installation of waste containers and garbage dumps near popular tourist sites.

The Republic of Dagestan is prioritizing the growth of its tourism sector.  Recently, the regional governor Sergei Melikov, has inaugurated Avaral Park, a contemporary tourist complex spanning over 11,000 square meters near the Sulak Canyon. This new development signifies Dagestan's commitment to expanding and modernizing its tourism infrastructure.
