On February 15, within the framework of a meeting with the heads of the charitable foundations of the republic, the Acting Head of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov called state housing providing programs as one of the most important types of social support for citizens in need.

The head of the republic recalled on the creation of a reserve housing fund in the region aimed to secure accommodation to those in years-long wait to receive housing.

“Next year we will definitely lay down funds for this fund to work. Because people often find themselves in difficult life situations completely spontaneously. We are now resolving the issue with the family of Zeynudin Batmanov, who at the cost of his life saved the family from criminals. An ordinary forester, who performed the feat, died himself, but did not allow the criminals to enter the village. If he was a serviceman or held a public office, then his family would be provided with state social guarantees. But not in this case. To solve such problems, we intend to create a reserve fund for housing. We will put this idea into practice” - Melikov said, calling for further cooperation between the patrons and charitable organizations. At the same time, the head of the region instructed the Government of the Republic of Dagestan to give these relations an official status, by working out the issue of signing relevant agreements.

Besides, the Acting Head of Dagestan instructed to create a working group to include the representatives of the regional Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Construction and the charitable organizations.
