Dagestan is one of ten regions of Russia where people take antidepressants least of all, the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies reports. In Dagestan, an average of 206 packs of antidepressants per 10,000 people are bought. This figure is lower only in eight regions of the country. They are followed by Chechnya (83) and Nenetski Autonomous Okrug (143). The leading regions for consumption of antidepressants are Moscow (1,268 packs per 10 thousand people), St. Petersburg (1,158), and Moscow Oblast (1,102).
