On July 10, at the regular meeting with the Russian President Vladimir Putin, the acting Head of the Republic of Dagestan Vladimir Vasilyev raised the issue of opening the branch of the St. Petersburg Nakhimov school in the Republic. The Defense Ministry is already developing this project. V. Vasilyev explained that this would be a good initiative for the Republic, taking into account the forthcoming redeployment of the Caspian flotilla to the town of Kaspiysk and the proposed construction of a ship repair plant in the region.
