On July 15 - 21, the First International Art Symposium "Canyon" which brought together artists from different regions of Russia was held on the territory of Sulak Canyon in Dagestan. The event organizer and the project manager was Khalil Khalilov. The guests from St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Volgograd, Vladikavkaz, Elista and different municipalities of Dagestan took part in the art symposium. Artists lived and worked on an island in the Chirkei reservoir.

Unfortunately, not all the guests were able to take part in the event due to the epidemiological situation. Within 4 days of the event, the artists created more than 30 canvases inspired by the beauty of the Sulak canyon, the Gunib and Shamil municipal districts.

At the end of the art symposium, the participants exhibited their works created within the framework of the event. It is planned that the exhibition will be held in Makhachkala and Moscow.
