Makhachkala, September 13, 2019. A composer fr om Makhachkala Suleiman Magomedsuleymanov became the winner of the prestigious Space Music Awards, annually presented in London. The jury named the song "Super Lezinka", consisting of two repeating chords as the hit of the year in the nomination "Contemporary Ethnomusic".

“We were struck by Lezginka. This is a real hit. The composer managed to create a real masterpiece from two chords. Earlier, I had already heard Magomedsuleymanov’s wonderful compositions of three chords. They also impress with a unique melody, but here the genius surpassed himself. I think he can count on including his name in the Guinness Book of Records” - producer Jerod Mercury commented the result of the jury’s decision.

“Usually I make music from three chords, but this time the third chord never crossed my mind, and I decided to lim it myself with two. The unique content was made public. I admit, it was difficult for me to count on international recognition, although in Dagestan my hit is played in every restaurant, every wedding and wrestling tournament. I don’t know how the melody got to England. Perhaps someone was wedding here” - the composer said.
