The press service of the regional Ministry of Transport reported on the start of construction of the new road section leading from Makhachkala airport to the “Caspiy” sanatorium. The construction of the section Manaskent road - the approach from the federal highway “Caucasus” to the “Caspiy” sanatorium with a length of 3.8 km is being carried out within the framework of the national project “Safe high-quality motorways”. The new road is intended for the development of the coastal part of Karabudakhkent municipal district and for the shortest route from the airport to southern Dagestan, bypassing the village of Manas. Besides, the road is expected to unload the busiest section of the federal highway M-29 "Caucasus". According to the state contract, the construction works will be completed in September 2022.
