Makhachkala, March 14, 2014. The second republican championship in mixed martial arts (MMA ) will take place in Makhachkala sports school named after Gaydarbek Gaydarbekov on March 15, the coach of the sports club "Gorec" Sokhrab Magomedov says.

It is expected that the competition will be attended by about 100 athletes, the representatives of sports clubs named after D. Kasumov (Makhachkala ), G. Makhachev (Makhachkala) , "Gorec" (Makhachkala) , "Champion" (Derbent ) , "Beliy medved" (Makhachkala) , "Kompromis " (Derbent ), the Academy of MMA and others.. All the sportsmen will compete for medals in six weight categories: 65, 70 , 77, 84 , 93, 93 kg.

By results of the competition, a Daghestan MMA team, consisting of the best fighters will be formed to participate in the North Caucasus Federal District championship.
