Makhachkala, January 20, 2015. Dagestani UFC flyweight Ali Bagautinov (13-3) gave an interview to Fight Nights to speak about his current training and his plans for an octagon comeback.

"Now I train every day. I mainly do the grappling, freestyle and classic wrestling. I would like to perform at grappling tournaments this year and compete with the strong guys. I do the grappling under coach Yussup Saadulaev and I help guys Arthur Bagautinov, Rassul Mirzaev, Murad Machaev to prepare for their fights. Sometimes we spar together. I also work with Vladimir Mineev trying something different with knees and elbows from clinch.
I am so really hungry for fighting. I want to prove that what I had with Johnson in June last year was a mistake on my part, a mistake I will never make again. Now I'm not longing for the championship belt, I will just go out, fight and have fun,"- A. Bagautinov enlarged.

The fighter also named the athletes he would like to oppose in the UFC.
"There are so many interesting guys in the UFC. I’d point out Olympic freestyle wrestling champion Henry Sedjudo that is striving for the top ten. Another opponent I’d love to face is Joseph Benavidez, the second in my weight. I would also like to fight with Ian McCall that cannot settle down constantly writing something to me. It would be nice to calm him down," - A. Bagautinov continued.

Ali Bagautinov has had 4 UFC bouts against tough opponents. In September 2013, Ali knocked out Marcos Vinicius (1.7.20), then he opposed the top Tim Elliott (10-4-1) and John Lineker (23-7) winning them by decision. In the fourth bout, Bagautinov had a chance to fight for the UFC belt against American Demetrius Johnson. After five rounds, all the judges gave Johnson a unanimous victory by decision.
