Makhachkala, April 15, 2014. Daghestani wrestler  Dzhambulat Magomedov gained a bronze medal at the international tournament for the Samurgashev Brothers Prize which took place in Rostov-on- Don on April 11 - 13, Daghestani  senior coach in Greco- Roman wrestling Ali Ismailov says.

This was the first official international youth tournament in Greco- Roman wrestling held in Russia. The competitions served as a qualifying stage for European Championship in Bulgaria and the Youth Olympic Games in China.

The tournament was held for the 14th time. Since 2001 it has been included into the International Federation of the combined styles of fighting (FILA).
This year, four Daghestani sportsmen were acting for the Russian team and only one of them achieved success.

In the weight category up to 85 kg, Dzhambulat Magomedov has become a bronze medalist of the tournament. In the final bouts, Daghestani athlete lost to his compatriot, the future winner of the tournament Mark Bemalyanu.
