Makhachkala, February 17, 2014. Makhachkala hosted Daghestani wushu championship, the executive director of Daghestan Wushu Sanda Federation Magomedali Magomedov says.

"This year, some Daghestani athletes will participate in the World Wushu Championship in Turkey in March and the Youth Olympic Games in China in August.  The winners in five weight categories will go to the world championship. Among them there are Yusup Mugudinov (up to 52 kg), Nursultan Kaparov (up to 56 kg), Kamil Zaynutdinov ( up to 65 kg ), Dzhambulat Gadzhiev (up to 80 kg) and Magomedsultan Abdusalamov (up to 60 kg)” - the source said.

Daghestani wushu athletes will also take part in the championship across the North Caucasus Federal District. The competition takes place in Makhachkala on February 21 - 23.
