Dagestani judokas to perform at International tournament in Germany

Makhachkala, February 20, 2016. The Olympic champion Tagir Khaibulaev and two-time European champion Sirazhudin Magomedov, as a part of the Russian judo team, will participate in Judo Grand Prix of Germany.

The international tournament will take place in Düsseldorf on February 20-21. As reports, more than 700 athletes from 90 different countries will attend in the sport event.

Khaibulaev will fight in the weight category up to 100 kg,Magomedov – up to 81 kg  at the competition.

The Russian team consists of Beslan Mudranov (60 kg), Michael Puliaev (66 kg), Zelimkhan Ozdoev (73 kg), Sirazhudin Magomedov (81 kg), Tagir Khaibulaev (100 kg), Niyaz Bilalov (100 kg), Andrei Volkov (+ 100 kg).

Last year, the Judo Grand Prix tournament in Düsseldorf, Kazbek Zankishiev became the winner. He obtained a silver medal in the category up to 90 kg, losing to the vice-world champion Varlam Liparteliani from Georgia in the final.
