Makhachkala, October 26, 2016. Dagestani fighter Askar Askarov became the best sportsman in the Absolute Championship Berkut within the  mixed martial arts tournament held in Moscow on October 23.

The sportsman from Khasavyurt defeated the experienced Brazilian fighter José María Touma in the second bout of the tournament. The Brazilian lost to Askarov in the fifth round, thanks to a good necklock.

"Khasavyurt sportsmen regularly perform at various tournaments and obtain champion belts and medals for Dagestan. All comfortable conditions are established in our town for the youth, who finally gain such excellent results", - the deputy director of Khasavyurt Sports School named after Sh Umahanov, Saipudin Aliaskhabov commented.

Recall, Askar Askarov began his sports career in Khasavyurt fight club "War Eagle”.
