Anapa, Krasnodar region, April 7, 2015. Dagestani boxers won three medals at the international boxing tournament in Anapa held March 28-April 4, Honoured Coach of Russia, the head coach of Dagestan team Rashidbek Akhmedov told RIA Dagestan.

"The tournament looked like European or world championships in terms of organization and participation. 182 boxers from 20 countries contested medals those days. 7 Dagestani athletes with the Russian national team performed at the tournament, and three of them placed the podium," the coach said.
Akhmedov’s trainee Tlyarata region native Muslim Gadjimagomedov won the gold medal - the representative of the Ali Aliev Boxing Academy in Makhachkala was the first in the 81 kg weight.

"In the first bout, Gadjimagomedov beat his compatriot, and then defeated representatives of Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Cuba, and Scotland. For his confident and brilliant fights, Muslim was chosen the best boxer, for which, in addition to conventional medals and diplomas, he was awarded an extra prize," Akhmedov said.
Tamerlan Hangishiev placed second in the 56 kg weight, and Tulpar Atayev won bronze in 75 kg.

This May, the athletes will participate in the national championships in Kurgan, Kurgan region.
