Makhachkala, July 17, 2015. Three Dagestan taekwondo athletes became the prizewinners of the Russian championship among juniors aged 15 - 17, which took place July 10 – 15 in Shakhty city of Rostov region, the coach of Dagestan junior national team Kurban Bugdaev said.

As to Bugdaev, 600 athletes from more than 50 regions took part in the championship. 23 taekwondists represented Dagestan in the competition. Three Dagestan taekwondo athletes Said Abdulkadirov (45 kg), Magomed Nimatulaev (63 kg) and Kisaran Khalayevs (49 kg) different weight categories obtained bronze medals of the junior competition.

It should be noted that the competitions served as a qualifying stage for the European Championship that will be held in the capital of Latvia in October 2015.
