Makhachkala, August 2, 2016. Dagestani athletes helped the Russian National Kung Fu Team to take the first place at the World Championship, which took place in Moscow on July26 to 31, the head coach of Dagestan Kung Fu team Murad Akhadov says.

“Dagestani sportsmen successfully performed at this World Championship. In fact, our athletes have been training hard for a long time, and traditionally we used to take medals of different values in such big tournaments. Totally, our athletes managed to achieve success at the World competitions where they gained seven gold and one silver medals."- Akhadov noted.

Yusup Mugutdinov (55 kg), Rasul Gadzhimagomedov (65 kg), Gamzat Kutbudinov (70 kg), Shamil Nebiev (75 kg) Shamil Guseynov (80 kg), Mavlet Adzhiev (90 kg) and Tagir Isakov (90 kg) won the World Kung Fu Championship. Imran Timurkaev (85 kg) took the second place.
