Makhachkala, November 25, 2014. On December 11, Russian welterweight Habib Allakhverdiev will be opposing Dominican Julio de Jesus in the Krylatskoe Sports Palace "Dynamo" in Moscow, Allahverdiev’s promoter Vladimir Hriunov told "R-Sport".

The highlight of the evening will be Russian Fedor Chudinov vs. Australian Ben McCulloch for the title of the interim WBA world champion in the 76.2 kg weight. "The winner of the fight will mandatorily challenge Carl Froch. Habib Allakhverdiev will also enter the ring to oppose Julio de Jesus, the WBA number 11. This is going to be a bout for one of the regional titles. This fight will allow for Habib’s comeback and his claim to the title," Hriunov commented on the phone.

This April Allahverdiev was defeated by American Jesse Vargas through a referee decision causing him to lose the WBA belt. It was the first lose for the 31-year-old athlete after 19 straight wins in professional boxing.
