Makhachkala, May 13, 2015. Chief coach of the Russian national freestyle wrestling team Magomed Gusseinov said almost all the winners of the national championships will perform at the European Games in Baku, summing the Russian championships that took place May 8-10 in Kaspiysk.

"Nearly all of the wrestlers who have won the gold medals will perform in summer at the first European Games in Azerbaijan's capital, unless, of course, no one is injured. Unfortunately, we saw a refereeing error at the championships during the fight between world champion Hetag Tsabolov and Magomedrassul Gazimagomedov who became the national champion in the 70 kg weight.

"Technically, Gazimagomedov won the bout, but one of its first actions was lost upon referees, and then they made adjustments, which was violation of the rules. I can only say that in case of Gazimagomedov’s unconditional victory at the European Games, he and Tsabolov will go to a tournament for us to see their full-time confrontation before the world championships again," Gusseinov commented.

The fresh Russian champions are: Viktor Lebedev (57 kg), Alexander Bogomoev (61 kg), Ilyas Bekbulatov (65 kg), Magomedrassul Gazimagomedov (70 kg), Aniuar Geduev (74 kg), Abdul Sadulayev (86 kg), Abdussalam Gadissov (97 kg), and Hadzhimurat Gatsalov (125 kg).
