Makhachkala, September 25, 2014.  Daghestan youth employment center "Uspekh" of the ministry of labour and social development has started employing refugees from Ukraine, a source in the center told RIA "Dagestan". Normally, "Uspekh" employs young people aged 14-30, but given the difficult situation, they decided not to divide the Ukrainians into age categories.

The "Agromir" greenhouse complex offered their assistance in employing Ukrainians. The center helped the job seekers meet the employers, make a tour of the complex, learn the wages and see the working conditions. "Agromir" is ready to pay good salary on a daily basis. The job available now would be painting the pipes and keeping the watch, and later, after opening the complex, - planting, taking care of and harvesting vegetables. The working hours are 8 am - 6 pm.

The Main Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry’s Daghestan office and the Daghestan ministry of labour reports that 542 refugees and displaced persons from Ukraine including 148 children, 24 pensioners, and 10 people with disabilities have been sheltered in Daghestan. They are mostly citizens of the Luhansk and the Donetsk regions. 271 Ukrainians live with relatives and friends. The points of temporary accommodation are the "Dolphin" recreation center (Makhachkala) with 93 persons housed and the "Lezzet" resort (Karabudakhkent region) housing 178.

To employ the people and provide them with advanced training, officials regularly inform them of the suitable vacancies. As of September 19, 83 refugees applied for jobs, 36 of them have been employed as nurses, maids, gardeners, dish washers, waiters, cooks, hairdressers, kitchen workers, roustabouts, paper cutters, hospital attendants, cleaners, carpenters, builders, mechanics, etc.
