Makhachkala, March 9, 2017. The strategic session "Media Development in the Republic of Dagestan" has started today, March 9, in Makhachkala. On the first day of the session, the rector of Dagestan State University Murtazali Rabadanov, speaking to the participants of the session, thanked the authorities for the attention they paid to the problems of the education system and the popularization of certain disciplines.

Tamara Chinennaya, the spokeswoman for the Head of Dagestan, told about the importance of interaction among the press services and the media in order to effectively cover the work of the republican leadership. In the priority, the journalist, in her opinion, should have cultural and moral values, social responsibility, which must be applied in the work to reflect the development of the republic and the country.

Zubairu Zubayruev, the head of the Information Policy Department of governmental administration, called for an increase in the activity of press officers of municipal administrations to cover the activity of local authorities. The Minister of Press and Information of Dagestan, Rashid Akavov, called to jointly define the development vectors of the republican media, which, in his opinion, need to be improved and renewed.
