Makhachkala, September 3, 2015. The Plenipotentiary Representative of the Russian President to the North Caucasian Federal District Sergey Melikov chaired the final meeting of the organizing committee of the Youth Forum "Mashuk", the press-service officer reports.

Opening the meeting, Sergey Melikov thanked the organizers and regional heads for the high level of forum organization.

"This year, there was a lot of positive changes in “Mashuk”.  I can say without exaggeration, it has been held successfully on the organizational level and shift our expectations, - Melikov noted. - And in some directions, we have achieved more than we planned. I want to point out the number of the invited guests, the efficiency of competitive procedures, the quality of the educational programs and the intensity of media coverage.”

Speaking about the grant competition, the presidential envoy stressed the issue of permanent control over the spending of budget funds allocated for youth initiatives.

"I want to warn that the financial means for the projects – the winners of “Mashuk”, will be taken under the strictest control - Sergey Melikov said. - The economic situation is busy, and we count every penny now. The budget funds, aimed at grant competition could go, for example, to equip schools. Therefore, I urge the heads of the regions to have strong views on this. I will personally inspect how much and for what purpose the funds will have been spent."

Discussing substantive content of the educational program of the forum, Melikov noted that it should consider the quality factor, but not the number of invited guests and experts for its formation. It was very important to take into account what the ideology young people would take away from the "Mashuk" at home.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Sergey Melikov emphasized that "Mashuk" should not be limited within two weeks of active work at the platform of the camp. The Forum will become a full-fledged youth movement.
