Makhachkala, March 6, 2014. Under a Russian government’s order, federal subsidies to Russian regions have been approved to co-finance high-tech medical care provided to Russian citizens, says the government’s official website.

To do that, the federal budget will allocate RUR 3 billion, according to the order. The subsidy for Daghestan is RUR 18.722 million.

In 2013, a few sorts of high-tech medical care started to be provided in Daghestan in 5 medical institutions, said Head of the Healthcare Ministry’s Medical Department Zoya Magomedova. They are the Daghestan Clinical Hospital, the Children's Republican Clinical Hospital, the Daghestan Centre of Thoracic Surgery, the Daghestan Centre of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery, and the Makhachkala № 1 Hospital.

She noted that in 2013, only 2 medical organizations - the Daghestan Clinical Hospital and the Children's Republican Clinical Hospital – were co-financed from the federal budget. In 2014, the government will sign agreements with all the 5 medical institutions through which they will be able to receive co-funding from the federal budget for the high-tech medical care provided to Daghestan residents.
