Makhachkala, August 21, 2014. The day before the rector of the Institute of theology and international relations Yarakhmed Khanmagomedov met with the Indonesian Ambassador to the Russian Federation, H.E. Djauhari Oratmangun, the university press service reports.
At the beginning of the meeting Ya. Khanmagomedov congratulated the Indonesian Ambassador on Indonesia's Independence Day, held on August 17. Besides, the rector of the Institute thanked the embassy staff for its contribution to the development of relations in the cultural and educational sphere and expressed hope for wider strengthening and expanding.
"It is very important to develop bilateral educational systems based on humanism and dialogue between cultures," - Ya. Khanmagomedov noted.
Ya. Khanmagomedov also took interest in recent opening of the Centre for Historical and Cultural Studies of peoples of Southeast Asia "Nusantara" with the participation of the Indonesian theologians, scheduled for November 2014.
Indonesian Ambassador expressed his readiness to provide all possible assistance and support.
The parties raised the question concerning the possibility of graduates’ of the Institute of theology and international relations to achieve the master's degree at Malang Islamic University.
The delegation that visited the Indonesian Embassy in Moscow, consisted of CEO of "Risalat Holding" Magomed Mukoshdibirov and the chief editor of Islam.ru website Hadji- Murad Radzhabov. The main objective of the discussion was to strengthen ties between the two countries within the framework of cultural, educational, economic, and information exchange.
Mr. Djauhari Oratmangun noted that the cooperation and exchange of experience between Russian and Indonesian companies would be mutually beneficial.
