Makhachkala, January 26, 2015. The relic revered by Muslims all over the world - a hair of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - was brought from Makhachkala to the Russian capital. The hair will be available to see in the concert Crocus City Hall at the gala "Mawlid al-Nabi."

"The Dagestan Spiritual Board of Muslims and Mufti Akhmad Hajji Abdulayev made a gesture of goodwill having given our brotherly Moscow Muslim community an opportunity to see such a high relic," a member of the Dagestan Spiritual Board of Muslims said in an interview with RIA Dagestan.
One will be able to get a better view of the Muslim sacred item through a magnifying glass. The hair is exposed as a museum piece, since it is deemed unacceptable to worship the Prophet's hair in the Islamic world.

As reported by the official site of the Makhachkala Spiritual Board of Muslims, the theme of the grand event is miracles sent down to earth at different times to Moses (Musa), Jesus (Isa), Muhammad (peace be upon him), and other prophets (peace be upon them). The organizers wanted every spectator to feel that the life, the human himself and everything around him or her is a greatest miracle.

Lighting and audio-visual effects, theatrical skits and videos will give the audience a feeling of total immersion in an amazing atmosphere. They will hear Nasheeds about Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). The highlight of the evening will be world-renowned Nasheed singer Mahir Zane. He will perform well-known songs and a song specially written for the mawlid.

"Mawlid al-Nabi" is an outstanding event in the cultural life of Muslims having been carried out for educational reasons for 9 years attracting over 6,000 spectators. Before the event, the visitors will see an exhibition of Islamic art and take master classes in the foyer of the concert hall.

According to Islamic tradition, the Mawlid al-Nabi holiday is the 12th day of the third month of the lunar calendar Rabi-ul-Awal - one of the most revered months in Islam.
