Makhachkala, April 14, 2014. On April 22, a scientific conference on "The concept of citizenship and patriotism in today’s students’ consciousness" will be held at the Makhachkala Innovative University, the organizing committee told RIA "Daghestan".

The event is organized by Daghestan Institute for Nationality Issues in Education of the Russian Academy of Education.The conference aims at establishing an information and methodological framework for coordination, exchange of experiences, support and further development of activities by public associations busy with civil and patriotic education of youth, and comprehensive use of ideas of citizenship and patriotism in consciousness of today’s students, government and public media including the most advanced information and communication technology for the sake of their progress.

Thus, the organizers try to appeal to Makhachkala authorities and the education board to consider establishing the Centre for Civil and Patriotic Upbringing of Students with a view to implement activities of pre-army, applied, physical, moral, and psychological preparation of programs of spiritual and moral education for young students.

Representatives of public organizations, educational institutions and media are invited to visit the conference.
